How does cosmetic facial sculpting work?
Cosmetic Facial Sculpting is carried out using the correct pressure which is applied to the areas of the face, neck, decolletage and head to increase the circulatory system.
Cosmetic facials utilise traditional therapies that manually work the superficial layers of the skin and stimulate blood, fluid and qi to flow from the deeper channels up.
The increased flow helps to move stagnation, flushing out toxins and oxidised cells towards the lymph.
Furthermore, the manual working of the superficial layers functions as microtrauma, which assists with the healing cascade, stimulating collagen and elastin production.
These facial therapies also work to relax tense, tight muscles and tissues.
So, to summarise, Cosmetic facial sculpting works to:
- Release tension
- Improve blood circulation & Blood pressure (Inducing healing response)
- Increases nerve ending stimulation and sensitivity
- Draw out toxins & stagnation (Lymphatic drainage)
- Breaks down fat cells, cellulite, tight tissues such as scar tissue and stretch marks
What does cosmetic cupping do?
Cupping is using soft silicon cups, instead of glass or hard plastic cups. Silicone cups are softer on the skin and less likely to create marks whilst sliding across the face.
Cupping is used to create a vacuum that draws the skin and superficial muscle layer up and holds them.
Cupping forces the oxygen rich blood to move towards the surface, thus saturating the damaged tissues and consequently precipitating the healing process.
Cosmetic cupping has been shown to:
- Increase oxygen-rich blood circulation
- Strengthen skin and connective tissues
- Stimulate cells responsible for collagen production
- Relax muscle tension
- Brighten skin
- Minimize the appearance of scars, fine lines, and wrinkles
- Tone chin, jawline, neck, and décolletage
- Decrease puffiness
- Regulate oil production
How does Cosmetic Gua She Work?
Gua Sha is friction stroking, using a jade tool, that has cooling properties and smooth curvature, which can can assist to reduce the risk of deep sha marking during your treatment.
What does Gua Sha do?
Gua Sha works to improve the blood supply, resolve stagnation and drain toxins. Gua Sha is particularly effective in scar and wrinkle reduction as the pressure strokes facilitate the breaking down of the cell structures, whilst promoting new cell production, collagen and elastin in the treatment area.
What to expect during and after facial Gua Sha.
