When you book in to see Ann at Chinley Massage, you can be assured that prior to having any form of treatment, Ann will go through a thorough clinical consultation, where she will check with you, that it is safe to perform this modality.
This relaxing treatment will take an hour. You can lay on your back, close your eyes and forget about all the responsibilities from work and everyday life.
Ann will cover you in blankets and make you comfortable, prior to your treatment commencing. You will be offered a choice of different oils to be used on your upper body. Indian Head Massage is a slow, yet firm technique, focusing on the upper body, where areas of tension can accumulate.
You can enjoy some associated stretches on your head/neck area, to help increase the range of movement and improve your circulatory blood flow, which works with your lymphatic system to help with lymphatic drainage.

- Do not do heavy exercise after a treatment although some light exercise is beneficial. Try to get some sleep early, so the body can repair during the night. Preferably before 11pm.
- You may find that you urinate more or have bowel movements. Also, symptoms of a cold such as runny nose, sore throat or generally feeling under the weather van appear and these are normal signs of the body clearing toxins in the system and will usually go fairly quickly.
